Every October, the County of Los Angeles hosts an Innovation Week. This event highlights innovative work around the County and fosters conversations about how to advance the region. The i-team, for the second year in a row, was proud to host some of the featured events called The Garden Sessions. The sessions were held in partnership with Council District 9 on their garden rooftop.
WHAT IS THE PROBLEM WE’RE TRYING TO SOLVE?
Open to and focused on public engagement, the sessions were held to celebrate the breadth of innovation and creativity within our region. Throughout the i-team’s five consecutive events, discussion focused on innovative approaches the City has adapted to encourage good governance, ranging in topic from data, design, agility, partnerships, and workforce.
WHAT IS THE INITIATIVE?
The i-team brought together more than 25 city government leaders as well as other civic leaders, for five consecutive nights to discuss five specific topics. Sample speakers included Elizabeth Timme, Co-Founder, LA Mas, Jeanne Holm, Senior Technology Advisor to the Mayor, Suzanne Abate, Founder, Development Factory, and more.
